Kannada Rajyotsava

 

With deep reverence to Kannada language, its diverse culture and rich traditions, Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great joy and vigour on 1st Novermber. The school came alive with the vibrant colors of red and yellow depicting the colors of the Karnataka flag. Various cultural programs like dances, songs, speeches made the day colourful brining us closer to the rich heritage of Karnataka.

 
 

CHRIST’LYMPICS: Annual Sports Day, V - X

 

Annual sports meet Christ’lympics 2024-25 was held on 29th and 30th October. Rev Dr Augustine President St Thomas Education Society was the Chief Guest. Fr Penish P Varghese Principal, Fr Josekutty V J Campus Director, Ms Merlyn Christabel Vice Principal, Ms Jayashree Suresh Staff Coordinator were the other dignitaries present.

Students actively participated in various individual and group events and won prizes. New records were set, old ones broken as they fiercely competed in the true sportsmanship spirit. Two days of fun and enjoyment definitely taught them important life skills of team spirit and companionship.

 
 

Friendly Match

 

A friendly match-throwball and football was held between Christ Public School Mysore and St Thomas School Gonikoppal on 12 September in which senior teams football and throw ball of Christ Public School won in the senior category while the junior football team of St Thomas School Gonikoppal emerged as the winner in the junior category.

 
 

Chess Tournament 20 - Christ Public School Mysore

 

Carmel Catholic Association had organized CA Pazzo Chess Competion 2024 at our school on 20th October. Prof Lokanath NK Vice chancellor of University of Mysore was the Chief Guest. The event was inaugurated by Mr Vikram Muthanna Chairman and Managing Director of Star of Mysore. 800 students from over 100 students participated. Our school also had 83 participants.

Janhavi of IX A1 won the 3rd rank while our school also won the 2nd prize for the maximum entries.

 
 

Teachers’ Day

 

Teachers’ Day was celebrated by our dear students with lots of vigour and enthusiasm. The day’s program commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by Ms Pushpa Vailankanni, Ms Shwetha N, Ms Jayashree Suresh, Ms Isabel Paul. Fr Josekutty V J our campus director, Fr Noble Jose Administrator, Ms Merlyn Christabel our Vice Principal were the dignitaries present. Ms Jayashree Suresh our staff coordinator addressed the gathering. Students presented a colourful cultural bonanza which was filled with lots of love and reverence towards teachers.
