Kargil Diwas was celebrated on 26th July to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who lost their lives during the Kargil War of 1999. In charge was given to the NCC cadets.
Major Raju K, Ex Serviceman 14 Karnataka Battalion, Indian Army was the chief guest. Our Principal Rev Fr Renish P Varghese, Rev Fr Nobel Jose, Administrator were the other dignitaries present.
Various programs like speech highlighting the importance of the day, group song, Sapling was donated as a mark of respect and gratitude towards the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect our motherland.
International Chess Day was celebrated on 20th July.
Fr Renish P Varghese, Principal, Fr Jose Kutty, Campus Director, Fr Noble Jose, Administrator. Chess instructor Ms Suchithra Prasad and program coordinators Ms Rekha Jnaneshwar and Ms Gowthami were the dignitaries present. Students were sensitized about the importance of learning chess through a speech followed by the formal inauguration through a friendly match between our principal Fr Renish P Varghese and Janavi S of 9A1 with a FIDE rating of 1496. Former national chess champion Ms Rekha Jnaneshwar shared her experiences in the field of chess and motivated the students to take up the sport as it improves problem solving skills.
A friendly match was held for the students under the guidance of chess instructor Ms Suchitra Prasad and Ms Rekhs Jnaneshwar.
Rain Day was celebrated on 10th July 2024. To celebrate the first showers of monsoon, the tiny tots came all armed in their raincoats & umbrellas to splash & revel in the rain. The students of KG were brought out in open by their teachers with umbrellas and rain coats to enjoy the playful rainy weather. Students dressed in raincoats danced in the showers of water, made paper boats and created beautiful memories to last lifelong.
A faculty development program was conducted by CBSE-COE Bengaluru on 10th August. The topic was Art Integration. Ms Prathima Patel Principal, Radcliffe Group of Schools and Mr Shivamurthy S Principal Holy Crescent English School were the resource persons. The participants were sensitised on various activities to integrate various forms of art (visual and performing) into various subjects to make learning easier and engaging..
Our former principal Fr Jinosh V Mathew was accorded a grand farewell on 9th July by our dear students. Fr Renish P Varghese, our principal, Fr Josekutty VJ our campus director, Fr Noble Jose our administrator, Ms Merlyn Christabel our Vice Principal were the dignitaries present.
Various cultural programs, focusing on the values and verses taught by Fr Jinosh, were presented. Students from kindergarten to grade 10 actively participated in the program. Speeches, poetry recitations, mono acting, storytelling, classical, folk and cinematic dances mime were some of the colorful programs put forward by the students. Fr was also presented with an album with a collection of memories shared by each class from kindergarten to grade 10 and teachers of different departments. It was a moment of heartfelt gratitude as we sent our dear father away with a promise to carry forward his legacy forever.
