Environment Day Celebration

On 5th June 2025, Christ Public School observed World Environment Day with a spirited celebration that blended awareness, action, and youthful enthusiasm. This year's global theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” took centre stage, urging the school community to reflect on the growing menace of plastic waste and to adopt eco-friendly practices.

The day commenced with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students and staff collectively vowed to take meaningful steps toward protecting the environment.

A variety of engaging programs followed, including in class notice board decoration, speeches, songs, and dance performances — all echoing the urgent call to reduce plastic usage and care for the Earth. The creative expressions of the students not only entertained but also educated the audience on the importance of sustainable living.

One of the highlights of the day was the cleanliness drive led by the NCC cadets, who took charge of cleaning the school surroundings, setting a powerful example of discipline and environmental responsibility. Their efforts were both inspiring and impactful.

Adding a vibrant touch to the celebration was the Green Parade, featuring enthusiastic participation from KG students and NCC cadets. Carrying messages of environmental protection, the young marchers captured the attention and hearts of all present. The celebration was a resounding success — not only in participation but also in purpose. It reminded everyone that the path to a cleaner, healthier Earth begins with small but determined steps.
