Christ Centre for HR Development conducted the third session of its Faculty Development Program titled “From Memorization to Critical Thinking in Social Science” on 12 May 2026 at Block-1, X A1 Classroom of Christ Public School.

The session was led by Shilpa B B, who shared valuable perspectives on transforming Social Science teaching from rote learning to inquiry-based and analytical learning approaches.

The program highlighted the importance of fostering critical thinking, discussion-based learning, research orientation, and real-world connections in Social Science classrooms. Teachers were introduced to innovative pedagogical strategies that encourage students to analyze, interpret, question, and engage meaningfully with historical, geographical, political, and social concepts.

The interactive discussions and practical insights shared during the session enabled teachers to better understand curriculum expectations and effectively integrate competency-based methodologies into classroom teaching.
