International Chess Day was celebrated on 20th July.
Fr Renish P Varghese, Principal, Fr Jose Kutty, Campus Director, Fr Noble Jose, Administrator. Chess instructor Ms Suchithra Prasad and program coordinators Ms Rekha Jnaneshwar and Ms Gowthami were the dignitaries present. Students were sensitized about the importance of learning chess through a speech followed by the formal inauguration through a friendly match between our principal Fr Renish P Varghese and Janavi S of 9A1 with a FIDE rating of 1496.
Former national chess champion Ms Rekha Jnaneshwar shared her experiences in the field of chess and motivated the students to take up the sport as it improves problem solving skills.
A friendly match was held for the students under the guidance of chess instructor Ms Suchitra Prasad and Ms Rekhs Jnaneshwar.
