Ethnic Day

Ethnic Day was celebrated on 11th November, to celebrate, understand and respect the diverse yet unique ethnicity of India. Fr Jinosh VM, our principal, Fr Jose Kutty our H R coordinator and Ms Merlyn Christabel, our vice principal were the dignitaries present.

The cultural meet which was an amalgamation of the different states of India, their attires, languages and folk dances, was the star attraction of the day. Students wore the dresses of the states represented by them and spoke in the regional languages of those states.

It was followed by a marvellous performance of Dollu Kunitha , a popular percussion dance form of Karnataka. The rhythmic beats of the drum enthralled the students which was then carried forward by the Shingari Melam artists of Kerala.

Students danced to the beats of the percussion instruments and at the same time learnt about these traditional music of these two states. The program ended with some foot tapping dance numbers played the DJ which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
